Toruń
Toruń: a heritage city that punches above its weight
Toruń’s medieval centre, made up of the Old Town, the New Town and the Teutonic castle, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List on 4 December 1997. Its effect shows in the numbers. In 2025, hotels and other accommodation in Toruń hosted 382,915 guests. Bydgoszcz, 41 km away with two-thirds more residents, hosted 315,133.
Toruń’s foreign guests come mostly from one country: Germany supplied 27.4% of them in 2025, followed by the USA (8.8%), the UK, Czechia and Lithuania. The city had 28 hotels with 2,803 beds in July 2025, and bed occupancy over the year was 36.8%. Rooms are there, and the work is filling them outside the busy weekends.
Five of the 29 categorised hotels in the national CWOH register occupy buildings on the monuments register. Seven of the 29 list no website at all, the highest proportion among the city registers we checked.
Working with Toruń from Sopot
Our team is registered in Sopot and works with Toruń firms remotely. Discovery calls, design reviews and sign-off happen over video, and decisions are written down. If you manage a hotel for owners abroad, it helps that we speak Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian. In German we reply in writing.
You get a free quote within 24 hours, a price that is fixed once you accept the quote, payment in stages and 30 days of fixes after launch. The domain and booking accounts are in your name, and the project code is yours once paid for.
What Toruń businesses need most
- A booking site that sells the building. Story, photos, rooms and direct booking without the portal commission, in Polish, German and English.
- German first, then the rest. German content and a German-language Google Business Profile, followed by Czech or Lithuanian if your guest data supports it.
- An AI assistant for guest questions. Parking in the old town, breakfast times, luggage storage: answered at any hour in the guest’s language, and clearly labelled as AI.
- Polish SEO for local services. Clinics, salons and specialist shops in a city of 192,784 residents and over 25,000 students.
- Group and conference enquiries. A short form for groups and companies that goes straight to your sales inbox or CRM.
Local specifics
- Seasonality is moderate. An inland heritage city doesn’t have a seaside resort’s swings, but weekdays and winter still need campaigns.
- Short-term rentals. The Sejm passed a bill on short-term rental and hotel services on 8 October 2026 (print no. 2865), and it now goes to the Senate. Apartment operators in the old town should follow the final text.
- The labour market is less tight than next door. Registered unemployment was 3.9% at the end of 2025, against 2.5% in Bydgoszcz. A careers page in Polish still helps you reach candidates first.

Questions we hear most often
Can't find your question? Write or call — we'll give you a straight answer, no strings attached.
[email protected]+48 889 009 55001Our hotel is in a listed building. Does that change anything online?
Not legally, but it's a selling point most sites bury. We build pages around the building's history, with photos and room descriptions in German and English, and make sure booking is three taps away on a phone.
02Most of our foreign guests are German. Is a German version worth it?
In Toruń, very likely. Germans were 27.4% of foreign guests in 2025, more than the next three countries combined. A German version edited by a person and a German Google Business Profile description are the first things we'd add.
03Do you work only with hotels?
No. We also work with clinics, salons and companies linked to the university, often on Polish SEO and booking systems. The tourism angle is just what makes Toruń different from its neighbours.
04Can you meet us in Toruń?
Our team is registered in Sopot and works with Toruń remotely: video calls, shared documents, written decisions. In-person meetings take place in the Tricity.
