01Overview

Online shops

Who it’s for

Makers, independent retailers, wholesalers adding a consumer channel, and brands that sell mainly through Amazon, Etsy or eBay and want a shop they control. It’s also for businesses that already have a shop but run it by hand: copying addresses into courier portals, keying orders into Xero, updating stock in two places at once.

What we do

First we look at how you sell: how many products and variants, whether you serve trade customers, retail customers or both, and where buyers come from. That decides the platform. A tidy catalogue with simple shipping usually suits a hosted platform. Unusual pricing rules, product configurators or deep supplier integrations often point to a more flexible, self-hosted one.

We design categories and filters so people reach a product in a few taps. Product pages answer the questions that otherwise land in your inbox: sizes, materials, delivery times, returns. Guest checkout is on by default. Payments run through Stripe or PayPal with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay; Klarna is an option, and iDEAL matters if you sell into the Netherlands. Shipping rules cover Royal Mail, DPD, Evri or An Post, with labels printed from the order screen.

Orders then move on without anyone touching them. Paid orders create invoices in Xero, QuickBooks or Sage, refunds follow, and stock updates across channels. Analytics and ad pixels respect consent, with Google Consent Mode signals sent for UK and EEA visitors.

Selling to consumers in the EU? The European Accessibility Act has applied to consumer e-commerce since 28 June 2025, with an exemption for microenterprises providing services; in Ireland it is implemented by S.I. No. 636 of 2023. We build to WCAG and cover the details on our accessibility audit page. This is not legal advice.

How we work

  1. Send a short description of your range and a sample product file; the quote arrives within 24 hours.
  2. A free concept: a mockup of 1–2 key screens, such as the homepage and a product page.
  3. A contract with a fixed price and staged payments.
  4. Set-up, product import, payments and shipping in test mode.
  5. End-to-end test orders from basket to invoice, team training, launch and 30 days of free fixes.

Typically 20–40 working days from signing the contract. Messy product data, warehouse software or an ERP connection extend that.

What we need from you

A product spreadsheet (a rough one is fine), photos, your terms and returns policy, merchant accounts with your payment provider and couriers in your company’s name, and access to your accounting software.

Technology and integrations

We build on proven platforms chosen to fit your scale. Typical links are a payment provider, couriers, accounting software, Amazon or eBay, and supplier feeds. Inventory or ERP systems can be connected whenever they offer an API; where they don’t, scheduled file exchange is a dependable fallback.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t write legal terms or give tax advice, including on VAT for cross-border sales.
  • We don’t open merchant or marketplace accounts in our name.
  • We don’t install accessibility overlay widgets that claim to fix everything with one script.
  • We don’t build shops on platforms you can’t export your products and customers from.

04Questions

Questions we hear most often

Can't find your question? Write or call — we'll give you a straight answer, no strings attached.

[email protected]+48 889 009 550
01Which shop platform will you use?

It depends on your catalogue and how you sell. A hosted subscription platform handles hosting, security and updates for you, at the cost of some flexibility and app fees. A self-hosted platform gives full control but needs proper hosting and maintenance. We recommend one in the quote and explain why.

02Can you connect the shop to Amazon or eBay?

Yes, through the marketplaces' own integrations or a multichannel tool. Stock levels and orders can stay in sync so you don't oversell. The seller accounts and API credentials remain in your name.

03Do we need to worry about the European Accessibility Act?

If you sell to consumers in the EU, including Ireland, it may apply unless you are a microenterprise providing services. UK law is different. We design with WCAG in mind and offer a separate audit; whether the Act applies to you is a question for your adviser.

04Who writes the terms and returns policy?

Your solicitor or a reputable template service. We put them into the checkout, add the right tick boxes, and make sure order emails include what your terms require.
