Business websites
Who it’s for
Service businesses that win most of their work through word of mouth, Google or directories, and want a site that does some of the selling: clinics and practices, salons, B&Bs and small hotels, trades, consultancies and B2B firms. It also suits businesses whose online presence is currently a Facebook page and a Google listing, and who feel they are losing people who want to check them out properly first.
The problems we hear most often are predictable. Traffic arrives but enquiries don’t. Changing the opening hours means waiting for a developer. The domain sits in the account of a web designer nobody can reach. Every project we take on fixes all three.
What we do
We start with content, not colours. In a short discovery session we work out who your customers are, what they want to know before contacting you, and what the next step should be: a call, a form or a booking. That becomes the site map and the copy, which we write with you or edit from what you already have.
Before you sign, you get a free mockup of 1–2 key screens that you can view on your own phone. Comments are cheap at this stage, so we invite plenty of them. Design starts at mobile width, because that’s how many people look for local services.
The build covers the unglamorous parts that decide results: compressed images, a clean heading structure, page titles and descriptions, an XML sitemap, and structured data with your address and opening hours. Forms carry a short privacy notice and only ask for what you need to reply. Analytics and ad pixels load after consent, with “Reject” as easy to find as “Accept”. For UK sites we set this up under PECR, including the narrower analytics exemptions introduced by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 where they genuinely apply. For EU visitors, Google’s consent policy expects valid consent signals anyway.
How we work
- You describe the business and we send a quote within 24 hours.
- A free concept: a mockup of 1–2 key screens.
- A contract with a fixed price and staged payments.
- Copy, design, build and testing on real devices.
- Launch: domain, redirects, sitemap submitted in Search Console, then 30 days of free fixes.
Typically 15–30 working days from signing the contract. Copy written from scratch, extra languages or a booking integration push it towards the upper end.
What we need from you
About an hour for the discovery session, a description of your services (bullet points are fine), your logo and any photos you own, and access to the domain registrar. One person on your side signs off copy and design at each stage.
Technology and integrations
We pick the platform for the job: a content management system if you update often, or a lightweight static build with a simple editor if speed and low running costs matter more. Forms can feed HubSpot or Pipedrive, a booking button can open Fresha, Treatwell or your hotel booking engine, and chat can run through WhatsApp Business. If a tool has an API, we can almost certainly connect it; if not, webhooks, email parsing or CSV exports usually do the job.
What we don’t do
- We don’t build on locked-in builders you can’t leave with your content and URLs.
- We don’t register your domain or hosting in our name.
- We don’t promise Google rankings. We lay solid foundations; ongoing SEO is a separate service.
- We don’t publish copied competitor text or spin up pages for towns you don’t serve.

Questions we hear most often
Can't find your question? Write or call — we'll give you a straight answer, no strings attached.
[email protected]+48 889 009 55001We already have a Squarespace or Wix site. Is it worth replacing?
Not always. If it loads quickly, brings in enquiries and you can update it easily, we may suggest improving the copy and structure instead. We replace site builders when they limit speed, SEO control or integrations you actually need.
02Do you write the copy, or do we?
Either works. Most clients give us notes, old brochures or a recorded call, and we turn them into page copy for you to approve. You know the business; we know how people read on a phone.
03Can the site handle bookings or payments?
Yes. A booking button can open your existing system, such as Fresha or a hotel booking engine, and a simple deposit or payment can go through Stripe or PayPal. If you need a full shop, see our online shops service.
04Will we be able to see where enquiries come from?
Yes, once a visitor has agreed to analytics. Each form submission can carry the page it came from and the traffic source, so you can see which services and campaigns bring real enquiries.
