Websites, accessibility and AI for firms in Germany and Austria
Germany and Austria: what’s driving demand
Accessibility. Both countries have applied the European Accessibility Act since 28 June 2025: Germany through the BFSG, Austria through the BaFG. Online shops, hotel booking engines and other sites where consumers conclude a contract are in scope. Micro-enterprises that provide services, meaning fewer than ten staff and turnover of €2 million or less, are exempt in both countries. Anyone above that line faces real risk: fines can reach €100,000 in Germany and €80,000 in Austria. In Germany, competitors and associations can also send warning letters (Abmahnungen).
E-Rechnung. In Germany every business has had to be able to receive structured e-invoices since 1 January 2025. From 2027, firms with more than €800,000 turnover in 2026 must also issue them, and from 2028 that applies to all domestic B2B invoices. Austria is different: e-invoices have been mandatory only for suppliers to the federal government (since 2014), and no B2B mandate has been announced.
Booking and staffing. A consumer-organisation market check from July 2026 found that almost 40% of patients book doctor’s appointments online, partly because practices are hard to reach by phone. Craft businesses face their own squeeze: KOFA counted 97,482 vacancies in German Handwerk in 2025 that couldn’t be filled with qualified jobseekers. Fewer people to answer the phone makes online booking and good automation more valuable.
How we work with German and Austrian clients
MEZA P.S.A. is registered in Sopot, Poland, and works as an EU agency. The team is remote and on CET/CEST, the same time zone as Berlin and Vienna. We have no office in Germany or Austria.
We speak Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian. In German we reply in writing. German website copy is agreed per project.
What doesn’t change, whatever the language:
- a free written quote within 24 hours, including weekends and public holidays;
- a fixed price once you accept it, with staged payments;
- a free concept before you sign;
- a contract and a VAT invoice, reverse charge for B2B, confirmed by your Steuerberater;
- an AV-Vertrag under Article 28 GDPR wherever we process personal data, plus a list of subprocessors and EU hosting;
- the domain and logins in your name, the project code yours once paid for, and 30 days of fixes after launch.
We don’t contact businesses with unsolicited emails or calls. In Germany §7 UWG requires prior consent for advertising emails, including B2B, and Austria is just as strict.
What we can deliver
- Barrierefreiheit check and fixes. A WCAG audit of your shop or booking engine, fixes in the code, and the accessibility information the law expects you to publish, drafted for your review. Technical work only, not a legal opinion.
- Practice website with online booking (Praxis-Website / Ordination). A clear site with your own booking option alongside Doctolib or other portals, so patients have more than one way in. No medical promises in the copy.
- E-Rechnung connection. Linking your online shop, CRM or order system to invoicing software that can send and receive XRechnung or ZUGFeRD, ahead of the 2027 and 2028 deadlines.
- Website for craft businesses. Past jobs, service areas and a short enquiry form that collects photos and details, so the first call is already useful.
- AI phone and email assistant. Answers routine questions and takes requests for practices, hotels and workshops. It always says it’s an AI, as Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires from 2 August 2026.
- Cookie and tracking check. A technical review of fonts, scripts and consent under §25 TDDDG or §165 TKG 2021. We don’t write legal texts; your lawyer or a legal-text service does that.
Trust details we put in place
- Impressum. Our company details are on our company details (Impressum) page: legal form, registered address, KRS number, VAT ID, email and phone. We set up the same for your site, using your data.
- Data protection. EU hosting, a signed AV-Vertrag and a clear record of where data goes in every form and automation.
- Short-term rentals in Vienna. Media reported in September 2026 that Vienna plans a registration duty for short-term rentals from 1 January 2027. The law hadn’t been passed at the time of writing; we keep booking sites ready to show a registration number if it comes.

Where we usually start
Questions we hear most often
Can't find your question? Write or call — we'll give you a straight answer, no strings attached.
[email protected]+48 889 009 55001Do you work in German?
We speak Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian. In German we reply in writing. If your customers need a German website, we discuss how the copy is written and checked when we prepare the quote.
02Can you make our website BFSG-compliant?
We audit the site against WCAG, fix what we find and document it. Whether and how the BFSG applies to your business is a legal question for your lawyer; we don't issue legal certificates or promise protection from warning letters.
03Will you sign an AV-Vertrag?
Yes. Wherever we process personal data for you, for example in a booking form, a chatbot or hosting, we sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR and list our subprocessors.
04How are your invoices handled for VAT?
We're a Polish company, so B2B invoices to German and Austrian businesses are normally issued under the reverse charge, net of VAT. Your Steuerberater confirms the treatment.
05Do you send sales emails to companies?
No. In Germany and Austria unsolicited advertising emails need prior consent, even between businesses, and we don't do cold outreach.
Promises we can actually keep.
